Previously known as Mr X Acne Says, this acne-free guide has gone through and revamp and has come out the other side of the tunnel fresher than ever, but does it really deliver on its promise of showing us the “secret” to an acne cure? This is my version of The Secret Acne Cure Review.
Initial Impressions
When you read The Secret Acne Cure, it quickly becomes apparent that the main factor it focuses on is the fact that inflammation is one of the main reasons behind acne. While not entirely telling the full story, it does contain a grain of truth in it.
Acne does often result due to inflammation of clogged pores and white blood cells filling the cavities to combat bacteria, although there are other mechanisms that contribute to it…..but I digress.
Like any good product, it comes with a full refund policy, so this removes the risk for the user. I normally don’t even consider reviewing products without this guarantee, so was glad this was included.
Simplicity and ease of use
A lot of his tips focus around dietary and nutritional changes meant to target the source of inflammation and the author David Daniels goes to lengths to validate this claim.
To his credit however, he does address other aspects of treating acne such as facial cleansing, maintaining healthy stress levels and other lifestyle habits. Having said that, I would have liked to see more mention about these aspects- a small criticism in the scheme of things.
One of the major positives about this guide is that it has one of the most straight forward acne-free roadmaps to follow. It cuts away a lot of the technicalities that can be confusing and describes the actions you need to take in easy-to-follow steps. Of course it does include technical abstracts, but thankfully these are confined to the glossary and appendix section, if you so choose to read further.
The program itself focuses on implementing simple dietary changes and seems to focus on the nutritional benefits of suggested foods.
David comes down particularly hard on our standard Western diet of fast food and processed goods, calling them “disaster foods”. I especially liked this approach because it does 2 things , remove contributory factors of acne while supplementing with foods that naturally aid your body against acne.
The later sections goes into quite a bit of detail about nutritional supplements and how they are a crucial part in fighting acne. It was especially interesting to see this section so well researched because many guides merely gloss over it. It covers some must-have supplements and recommends some optional ones. This section alone is worth the price of the whole guide.
Conclusions
So, is it worth getting this guide? Well it depends- if you’re just reading for entertainment sake then it may not be right for you. However if you’re serious about fighting acne and are willing to follow the simple plan laid out every step of the way, then this is a fantastic guide to have.
I must clarify, the plan itself is simple enough, but execution of it depends primarily on the user’s discipline in following through.
All in all, this is a solid product that I would recommended. It may seem deceivingly simple to follow, but that is part of the beauty about this system. At the reduced price point it is offered at (check the site for latest prices) it represents great value for your dollar, in fact some sections in the book alone are worth the money you pay.
